The previous professional Walkman series has excellent high-quality sound and many fans. This WM-DX100 is a small, ultra-thin model positioned in the series at a low price. The feature set is rich, including music selection mechanism (AMS) and automatic tape selector, etc., using a split remote control that can replace the headphones. The mechanical device is different from other models. It does not use a DD disk direct drive system, but uses a PLL (phase-locked loop) drive mechanism.
